Wanted to draw attention to the excellent support given by the organisations listed in the Links in the side panel.
When you wake up in the middle of the night and you hear a click in your chest, or you find yourself in a sweat – is this normal? That’s where the information from these organisations is so helpful. I’ve got loads of stuff from the British Heart Foundation, they do a really amazing job in demystifying everything and their booklets and materials, their posters on diet are brilliant.
Another source both Jenny and I have found very useful is the book “Living with a HEART BYPASS“, this I read before and after the operation, but I would have to admit it was the after the operation bits that have proved most useful.
The Society of Thoracic Surgeons also have an excellent document that answered so many questions for me – “What to expect after heart surgery” – it provided many “solutions” to the “symptoms”.
thank you David
Gosh; a very special experience to read and share this David 🙂
