Llanmadoc to Gowerton by bike

Only a couple of images from this section of the WCP which Alec and I did on our bikes. We thought it was going to be easy when we got on them beside the Brittania Inn at Llanmadoc, but we were soon to be persuaded otherwise!

The hills between Llanmadoc and Llanrhidian are not to be sneezed at – if you’re the wrong side of 65 – and we were glad to descend the hill down to the marsh road at Llanrhidian and then continue along first this road, and then along, or beside, the B4295 until we got to Gowerton where Jenny had parked #duettovan for us to load the bikes on to and for us then to drive back to Cardiff. A short stretch this, on bikes, a good plan I feel as the c.11 miles would have seemed much longer if we’d been walking. The view of the estuary is amazing, but it doesn’t change much.

The images from our trip to Gower can all be seen in this Google Photos album. We hope to complete this stretch of the WCP by two further stages – Rhossili to Llanmadoc, and Port Eynon to Rhossili – hopefully, quite soon.
