For 60+ years I’ve been a very healthy and fit person working as an IT professional. I’ve walked a lot, cycled a bit, not smoked since my early 20’s, drunk alcohol in moderation – well that’s my story – have eaten sensibly but probably not as wisely and healthily as I should – browsing on too many work buffets, cakes, pastries and the rest – but certainly no worse than most. I’ve only been in hospital once before when in Junior School for an appendectomy, I’ve never had to complete a sick-note for work and I can’t remember being away from work for more than 2 days in a row.
Hence to be told I had Coronoray Heart Disease was a bit of a shock to say the least. This blog is my story of how I began to come to terms with the consequences of that startling piece of news, how I came through the hospitalisation and surgery, recuperation and cardiac rehabilitation; but most of all how I discovered myself.
I am not sure i agree with the comments about yourself!!
– very healthy and fit…hmmm
– cycled a bit (in the 70/80’s)
– drunk alcohol in moderation…hmmm
– eaten sensibly…chips/salt/indian
However, I would like to add that DIH is a top bloke and has been a top dad!!
Sorry…still is a top dad.
